Statement of Faith
We believe the Bible as originally given to be the only inspired, infallible and authoritative Word of God. It is supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
We believe that the one and only true God is self existent, perfect, infinite, personal, unchangeable and eternal Spirit. He is perfect in holiness, love, justice, goodness, wisdom and truth. He is the all powerful, all knowing and ever present Creator and Sustainer of all things visible and invisible. He exists and reveals Himself in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. These three are equal in perfection, but distinct in manifestation, and execute distinct but harmonious offices in the work of redemption.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His substitutionary and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to glory where He is now at the right hand of the Father as our Great High Priest and intercedes for all who believe.
We believe salvation has been provided for all men only through Jesus Christ and that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. Those who repent and believe in Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit, receive the gift of eternal life and become the children of God.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
We believe that God by His sovereign will and wisdom gives to each believer one or more gifts. Therefore, the presence of a gift cannot become the basis of pride or boasting, nor is it the sign of spiritual maturity. Every gift properly exercised brings honor to Jesus Christ, produces unity within the body, develops spiritual maturity and completes the ministry of the Church.
We believe that the local church is a body of believers in Christ who are joined together for the worship of God, for edification through the Word of God, for prayer, fellowship, the proclamation of the Gospel, and the observance of the ordinances of Baptism by immersion and the Lord's Supper. It is to be an example and functional part of the Church Universal.
We believe in the resurrection of both the save and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life , and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
We believe the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ to establish His kingdom of righteousness and peace is imminent and will be personal and visible.
